This role requires strong backend and frontend expertise, along with experience in modern DevOps practices, automation, and secure software development. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the full development lifecycle and leveraging modern tools, including AI-assisted development, to improve efficiency and quality.Key ResponsibilitiesFull Stack DevelopmentDesign and develop full stack applications supporting data-intensive workflows, analytics, and reportingBuild performant and secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs using modern backend frameworks such as Java (Spring Boot) or PythonDevelop responsive, accessible user interfaces using Angular and TypeScriptCollaborate with data engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutionsLeverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly to enhance productivity while maintaining high standards for code quality and securityAutomation, CI/CD, and Quality EngineeringArchitect, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or JenkinsImplement infrastructure-as-code and support containerized deployments using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or ECSDesign and integrate automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testingEmbed security best practices into the development lifecycle, including automated scanning and compliance checksLeadership and Ownership (Senior Level)Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidanceDrive engineering best practices across development, testing, and deploymentEnsure systems meet compliance, audit, cybersecurity, and data governance requirementsContribute to architectural decisions and long-term platform evolutionRequired Qualifications7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 1 2 years in a senior or lead capacityStrong proficiency in backend development using Java (Spring Boot) or PythonDeep experience with Angular and TypeScript for frontend developmentHands-on experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines end-to-endExperience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS)Strong experience with AWS and cloud-native services, including serverless technologies such as AWS LambdaFamiliarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL data storesStrong understanding of application security principles, including OWASP Top 10, secrets management, and least-privilege accessExperience with modern version control workflows (Git, trunk-based development, or GitFlow)Experience integrating AI/ML models or LLM APIs (such as AWS Bedrock) into production systemsUnderstanding of the importance of human oversight in AI-driven systems, particularly in high-risk or regulated environmentsPreferred QualificationsExperience working in financial services or other regulated industriesExperience building human-in-the-loop systems, review workflows, or AI-assisted decisioning platformsFamiliarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka or AWS SQS/SNSExperience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog or Grafana, including monitoring of AI/ML systemsExposure to feature flagging, canary releases, or progressive delivery practicesContributions to open-source projects or internal developer platform toolingWelcome to ConsultNet, a premier national provider of technology talent and solutions.
