RN- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Contract Role) Location: Utica, NY, 13502Duration: 13 weeksShift: 12-Hour Day/NightGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekWeekly Pay Rate: $2,232 - $2,412; (Negotiable based on experience)Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a reputable healthcare facility in Utica, NY. This is a 13-week contract assignment with the opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-acuity environment providing specialized care to neonates in critical condition.Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to critically ill newborns in the NICU, including Level II/III care. Monitor, assess, and document vital signs, lab results, and progress. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, and interdisciplinary teams. Provide education and emotional support to families. Maintain accurate patient records using Epic EMR system. Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and safety procedures. Qualifications: Licensure: Active and Valid RN license in the state of New York Experience: Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required Level II or Level III NICU experience is mandatory Preferably 3+ years in Level II/III NICU Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Required PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Required prior to start STABLE Certification - Required prior to start Technical Skills: Epic EMR experience - Required Additional Info: Will accept local candidates.
