Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in meal preparation and food service. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality dishes to our guests. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, grills, fryers, and ovens. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to management. Follow catering orders as needed for special events or functions. Participate in training sessions for new staff on food handling techniques and safety protocols. Experience Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards is essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking equipment are highly desirable. Experience as a dietary aide or in food handling is a plus.
