Job DetailsDescriptionConnor Co., a company rich in history, currently has an available Delivery Driver/Warehouse position at our Springfield, IL branch. We seek a career-minded person looking for a long-term position with a great company.Candidates MustPass a pre-employment background check and drug testing.Be available to work from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.Principal AccountabilitiesPrepares truck for operation by inspecting general condition: check fluid levels and tire pressure; notify Branch Manager before obtaining or scheduling required repairs.Maintains truck operating efficiency by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following the manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and scheduling repairs.Loads delivery truck with product securely, avoiding damagesDelivers items by identifying destinations, establishing routes, operating the truck, unloading items, and maintaining the scheduleUses a cell phone to report on the progress of deliveriesPicks up returned items for the companyVerifies products delivered against the packing slip and has the customer sign the receiptServes customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaintsEnhances the organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requestsProcess inbound materials to the warehouse. Compares quantities shown on packing slips or manifests with actual items receivedEfficient and effective loading and unloading of trucksInspects items according to instructions and reports damaged goodsEnsures materials are placed in the designated area within the warehouseStacks skids or pallets in designated areas.
