System Engineer

System Engineer Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in Tampa, Florida, as a System Engineer for a Managed Service Provider (MSP). This position is fully onsite, offering a salary range of $60-$70K, ideally $65K. Job Responsibilities Provide remote and onsite support to clients, delivering superior customer service in various technological scenarios. Monitor and provide technical support for client networks, including computers, servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and other specialty equipment. Support Microsoft server solutions both on-premise and cloud-based, tailored to client needs. Manage server-based software solutions, including Microsoft's business product line, Azure integrations, and backup solutions. Handle support tickets: open, review, resolve, manage, and close. Offer services via onsite appointments or remote system access/telephone/online sessions. Participate in technology projects as support or project lead. Collaborate with the team for knowledge exchange and idea sharing. Assist management in enhancing products/services as needed. Train end users on the everyday use of their computers, servers, and other network resources. Required Education, Certifications, and Experience At least ONE Microsoft Certification with server or equivalent product/application OR an Associate's or higher degree. Advanced experience with Microsoft Server Domain Environments using Server 2016 or later. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory using Server 2016 or later. Experience with Microsoft Azure / Entra environments and hybrid premise environments. Experience with Microsoft Desktop operating systems in domain environments, including Windows 11 24H2. Experience with Microsoft 365 Business cloud services/applications. Experience with Office 2021 or later. Proficient workstation and network-related troubleshooting skills. Ability to research solutions to various issues using online resources. Experience with Firewalls, Routers, and Switches and advanced network topology. Standard understanding of IP networks. Some physical effort required in handling materials, boxes, and equipment. Profile of Successful Candidates Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure. Professional demeanor and appearance. Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Self-motivated and self-directed. Willingness to learn deeply about assigned client environments to provide authoritative knowledge to the team. Flexibility in task assignment, priorities, work environment, and occasional schedule shifts for after-hours maintenance or project tasks. Open-minded and eager to learn. Quick thinker and creative problem solver. Willingness to travel within fifty miles of Tampa, FL. Reliable transportation and insurance required. Ability to make decisions, establish priorities, and maintain credibility and balance among priorities.
