Position Summary - Project Manager, Commercial workThe Project Manager (PM) develops, coordinates, implements, and manages all facets necessary to construct the project on time, within budget, and to the quality specified. The PM provides leadership and serves as the liaison between project team members to promote the interest of both the business and clients in all matters, as well as demonstrate the characteristics of a mid-level leader. The PM is the primary leader for the construction project. We build Multifamily, Academic, Healthcare and Life-Science throughout New England.ResponsibilitiesCreate and manage project budget for all assigned projectsWork with Superintendent to develop safety plans and to implement safety proceduresCollaborate on pre-construction RFP packageConduct project meetings, while setting milestones and formulating monthly owner reportsNegotiate, prepare and issue subcontract bid packagesMaintain adherence to standards of safety; ensuring that required documentation is filedEstablish job processes (RFIs, submittals, and pay applications) including approving pay applications and negotiating subcontract change ordersPerform project scheduling; ensure project quality control and establish overall project logisticsMaintain quality control (integrity and excellence of completed project)Manage the closeout process efficientlyComplete all job close-out proceduresSupervise support roles such as assistant project manager, administrative assistant, MEP managers, safety team members, etc.Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the life of the projectComplete other responsibilities as assignedQualificationsEngineering or Construction Management degree or equivalent experienceLeadership abilityProblem-solving ability and strong sense of urgencyStrong organizational and communication skillsStrong computer skillsFundamental knowledge of contract law and project accountingThorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating)J-18808-Ljbffr
