Overview
We are seeking a Senior Project Controls Manager to lead cost management, schedule control, and performance analytics across complex construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Control & Forecasting
Develop and manage project budgets, cost codes, and cost breakdown structures.
Lead monthly cost-to-complete updates, variance analyses, and margin-at-completion forecasting.
Monitor committed costs, subcontractor agreements, change orders, labor productivity, and equipment utilization.
Provide early-warning indicators for cost overruns and schedule risks.
Lead monthly risk discussions and reporting with Sr. Leadership
Schedule Management & Progress Reporting
Review and validate project schedules; ensure logic, sequencing, and resource allocations are accurate.
Track schedule performance against baseline and integrate schedule data into cost projections and earned-value models.
Earned Value & Performance Analytics
Implement earned value management (EVM) methodologies for self-perform and subcontracted scopes.
Generate executive dashboards and monthly reporting packages for leadership.
Change Management & Risk Control
Evaluate change events for cost/schedule impact and update budgets and forecasts accordingly.
Maintain project risk registers and provide quantitative risk analysis.
Systems & Continuous Improvement
Administer project controls systems (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore, CMiC, Ecosys).
Drive standardization of cost reporting templates and forecasting tools.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
Proficiency with cost control and scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Power BI, Excel advanced modeling).
Strong understanding of contract terms, schedule logic, and cost accounting structures.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience with construction projects ranging from $50M–$500M.
Familiarity with heavy civil and vertical construction, industrial, and aerospace construction
Experience with ERP systems and earned value methodologies.
