Manufacturing Engineering TechnicianReports To: Engineering ManagerJob PurposeThe role of Manufacturing Engineering Technician is to process all paperwork changes pertinent to Engineering/Manufacturing and provide support for manufacturing lines. The Engineering Administrative Assistant will update and implement changes to work instructions, in-process routers, engineering operating procedures, operation breakdown sheets, etc. as necessary, as well as aid in problem solving issues that arise during assembly builds. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician works closely with management, first article personnel, engineering, production, and document control to meet the needs of manufacturing in a timely manner.Duties And ResponsibilitiesDevelop in process routers.Transfer work instruction to alternate formats.Make adjustments to in process routers/work instructions that are found during all stages of the build process.Implement change requests to applicable paperwork when requested.Communicate with multiple departments to gather information on paperwork updates needed.All other duties as requested or assigned.Assigned AuthoritiesNone assigned to this position.QualificationsCompetent working with MS Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.) to include internet search capability, with a strong emphasis on Excel.Ability to read and comprehend cable drawings.Ability to read and comprehend specifications and standards.Self-motivated.Ability to work well in a team environment.Previous experience in cable/wire harness manufacturing industry.Communication SkillsGood oral and written communication skills, able to read, comprehend and create written and verbal instructions in the English language. Working ConditionsWorking hours may fluctuate above and beyond established shift hours.Limited exposure to moderate noise levels may occur.Physical RequirementsThis job requires standing and sitting for an extended period of time.Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects.Regularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet away.Frequently work on projects that require deadlines.Occasionally lift 5-10 pounds.Direct ReportsThis is not a supervisory positionCompany DescriptionCustom Cable Solutions, Inc.
