Location: Newark, NJ (HAX Headquarters) | Reports to: CEOThe Business Operations Manager at Lura Health is a crucial position, essential for keeping everything running smoothly within our fast-paced startup environment. This role requires a highly proactive individual who can cross-collaborate effectively across all functional areas and operate successfully with minimal direction at times.Lura Health is a fast-growing, VC and NSF-backed early-stage medical device company developing a non-invasive remote patient monitoring device. The primary technology is a highly miniaturized sensor that is worn in the mouth, continually records analytes in saliva related to chronic disease, and automatically transmits data to a patient’s smartphone via Bluetooth Low Energy. The approach has the potential for less invasive and more user-friendly health management.What You Will Do:Executive & Operational SupportProvide operational and administrative support to the CEO and leadership teamCoordinate scheduling, logistics, and internal follow-ups for executive initiativesConduct research and gather information to support leadership decision-makingServe as a central point of contact for internal operational questions and requestsFinancial Operations & Vendor ManagementManage vendor onboarding and maintain vendor recordsProcess invoices, bills, and payment requestsCoordinate with accounting on month-end close activities, including categorizing purchases to the appropriate chart of accountsTrack and manage operational expenses and recurring paymentsMaintain records related to financial operations and vendor agreementsCorporate Administration & ComplianceMaintain company registrations and ensure timely filing deadlinesTrack and manage corporate compliance requirementsOversee documentation and administrative records related to corporate governanceCoordinate with external service providers (legal, accounting, etc.)Intellectual Property AdministrationManage administrative tracking and documentation of the company’s patent portfolio and patent filing deadlinesSoftware & Systems AdministrationManage company software subscriptions and renewal timelinesMaintain operational systems and vendor platforms used across the companyCoordinate onboarding of new tools and vendors as neededTravel & Logistics CoordinationResearch travel options and manage related expensesArrange team travel, including flights, accommodations, and itinerariesCoordinate logistics for conferences, events, and company travelCross-Functional Operations SupportAssist team members with operational and administrative questionsHelp implement internal processes to improve organizational efficiencySupport ad hoc projects across departments as neededMust-Have Experience for Success:At least 2 years of experience in an operations role, supporting a CEO, or managing an office environmentExperience with building and maintaining company processesExperience working in Notion What Skills + Attributes You’ll Bring:Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly and concisely communicate in a variety of contextsExceptional organization and attention to detailHigh emotional intelligence and situational awarenessComfortable working independently without constant directionTech-savvy and quick to learn new systems and toolsCompensation + BenefitsCompetitive ratePTO + paid holidays + Summer Fridays + Winter BreakCommuter benefits for parking + transitProfessional development opportunitiesWhere We WorkThis position is based at the HAX US Headquarters in Newark, NJ, a 35,000 sq. ft., $50M facility that fosters collaboration among startups in deep tech, medical, and climate industries.
