Sr. Environmental Specialist
Senior Construction Environmental Specialist opportunity supporting large-scale renewable energy construction projects across the Southwest. This is a high-impact, field-based role for someone with strong experience in environmental compliance, SWPPP, hazardous waste, remediation, and regulatory interaction who enjoys being hands-on in the field and traveling to major project sites. The organization offers long-term career growth, a strong environmental and safety culture, rotational schedules with housing / travel support, and the opportunity to work on complex projects throughout NM, TX, and surrounding regions.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the environmental program at each work site.Partner with the project management team in developing and executing site specific environmental plans and activitiesLead the project planning and environmental risk analysisReview environmental submittals and attend preconstruction and preparatory meetings with subcontractorsMonitor and review trade partner work plans and activities for environmental concerns. Support with implementation of policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all environmental regulationsDevelop and lead environmental orientation and training programsSupport in the development of company-wide environmental management support programsMonitor implementation of environmental mitigation measuresLead and conduct work site environmental inspectionsRecord, monitor, and analyze environmental statisticsDocument and track all environmental violations, non-compliance conditions, etc. Conduct project’s leading and trailing indicator data / document collection and trend analysesConduct or assist with incident analysis and responseCollaborate with customers on regulatory (Federal, State, Provincial, and Local) reporting and documentation requirementsProvide resource of environmental related informationIdentify, evaluate and provide solutions for environmental risksMaintain operational knowledge of environmental issues in construction, US EPA, ASTM, and other applicable standards, regulations, laws, and proceduresServe as resource for environmental issues or concerns for all project team members.
