Dental Hygienist

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a key member of our dental office, you will play a vital role in ensuring the oral health and well-being of our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general dentistry and possess excellent patient assessment skills. Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify oral health issues and develop personalized treatment plans. - Clean teeth and perform scaling and polishing procedures to prevent periodontal disease. - Administer local anesthesia to patients as needed. - Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and demonstrations to promote good oral health practices. - Monitor patients' vital signs during dental procedures. - Document medical records and dental histories in our electronic medical records system, Epic. - Utilize CAD technology to create custom dentures and other oral appliances. - Maintain a thorough understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge to effectively communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals. - Participate in medical coding to ensure accurate billing and insurance claims. - Work closely with dentists to ensure seamless patient care and develop strong relationships with patients. Skills: - Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy. - Experience in a dental office environment. - Proficiency in patient assessment and vital sign monitoring. - Familiarity with medical records and medical coding. - Ability to administer local anesthesia and perform scaling and polishing procedures. - Experience with CAD technology. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively. - Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of oral health and hygiene.
