Or every Friday/ Saturday 3-10pm.)Location: Same Day Dental Southport About this role: The Patient Registrtaion Coordinator is the first line of customer service for all patients and visitors entering our office. This individual is a team player and brings their best to our office to achieve the best outcomes for our patients. This role is primarily responsible for greeting patients, checking patients in, presenting treatment plans, scheduling and confirming future appointments, and handling incoming phone calls. The patient registration coordinator will assist patients with questions and needs ensuring they receive the best service possible.Job Responsibilities: Provide a warm and inviting tone when fronting questions from new and existing patients on the telephoneExhibit a welcoming appearance and attitude towards new and existing patients and guests in the lobbyAccurate capture and entry of patient demographic and insurance information into an electronic patient health programAccurate verification of dental insurance benefits prior to treatment plan creation and presentationCreation and presentation of the treatment plan, with effective communication of all treatment optionsResourcefulness while aiding patients in arranging finances to receive necessary treatmentResponsible handling of financial receipts and cash in accordance with practice standardsConsistent ability to ensure proper documentation is signed and input into the electronic health recordCapability of maintaining rapport with multiple patients at once during times of high demandCapability of problem-solving with regard to accounting and clinical questions from patientsMaintenance of lobby, front office, and other facility areas according to practice standardsEffective communication with management and co-workers regarding improvements and suggestionsSuccessful completion of internal training programsBasic Qualifications: High school diploma or GEDBasic dental knowledge or the ability to learn Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-starter, and demonstrates initiativeExcellent work ethic and attendance recordDental Experience is requiredKey Skills and Abilities, Characteristics of a good fit:Customer Service Skills β must be able to provide excellent patient service to ensure their dental needs are being met.Multi-Tasker β ability to prioritize and address multiple demands concurrently.Communication β must be able to communicate effectively with the clinical team, patient, responsible parties, and other staff as necessary both in verbal and written capacities.Team Mindset β the ability to work within a team for the good of the patient.Positive Problem Solver β ability to think on your feet and find solutions to a variety of unique issues.Continuous Improvement - openness to and the ability to assess and improve processes and patient service experience.Flexible and Innovative - highly adaptable to the dynamic and fast-paced business environmentHigh Engagement - supportive of leadership and role model for company values and guiding behaviorsFollow Up and Attention to Detail - Strong demonstration of task completion and dedication to detail Computer Skills β Proficient ability to use a computer and electronic medical record.Confidentiality β Maintain patient, team member, and employer confidentiality.
