The Industrial Maintenance Technician inspects and performs repairs and preventive maintenance of plant machinery and equipment. This role should perform all tasks with safety and quality in mind while minimizing delay time and increasing production.
What We Need from You:
5+ years of proven experience with PLC troubleshooting, diesel mechanics, conveyor repair, and welding
Requires advanced shop math, complicated drawings and formulas, and a variety of precision measuring instruments
Strong mechanical aptitude
Considerable judgment in planning, layout, and performing difficult work

What You'll Do:
Repair, maintain, adjust, and rebuild machinery and equipment
Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and operating difficulties
Determine the need for and effect repairs and adjustments
Work with manufacturer’s representatives and technicians to effect repairs beyond the capability of the plant
Train, coach, and mentor lower-skilled maintenance repairers
Complete minor electrical maintenance, such as replacing fuses, motors, and switches
Perform cutting, welding, fabrication, rigging, and motor, drive, and belt alignment
Manage written records or make entries to maintenance information systems, as necessary
Read and interpret blueprints, machine drawings, and parts diagrams
Apply understanding of basic hydraulics, pneumatics, motor generator principles, motor control theory, motor drive, and coupling alignment
Communicate with the supervisor, operations management, plant engineering, etc. regarding major repairs and repetitive problems
Approach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member
Exceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail
