HR Intern

Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR Summer Intern to support a key project focused on standardizing and managing job description templates across our North America operations. This role is ideal for a student interested in Human Resources, organizational design, or process improvement within a manufacturing environment, specifically in the wire and cable industry.The intern will play a central role in organizing, auditing, and improving job description documentation to ensure consistency, compliance, and alignment with business needs.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Job Description Template Standardization Project for the North America regionReview, audit, and consolidate existing job descriptions across multiple business units and locationsPartner with HR Business Partners and functional leaders to gather missing or outdated job informationEnsure all job descriptions follow a standardized format, including consistent language, structure, and key competenciesSupport the development and implementation of a centralized job description repositoryAssist in aligning job descriptions with organizational structure, compensation frameworks, and compliance requirementsTrack project milestones, maintain documentation, and provide regular status updates to HR leadershipIdentify opportunities for process improvements and recommend best practices for ongoing job description managementPerform additional HR-related administration or project-based tasks as neededQualificationsInterest in pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related fieldStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Analytical mindset with an interest in process improvementAbility to handle sensitive information with confidentialityPreferred QualificationsPrevious internship or coursework related to HR, organizational development, or project managementFamiliarity with HR systemsInterest in manufacturing or industrial environmentsLearning OutcomesBy the end of the internship, the candidate will:Gain hands-on experience in HR project management and process standardizationDevelop a strong understanding of job architecture and organizational designBuild cross-functional collaboration skills within a corporate manufacturing environmentDeliver a tangible project with lasting impact on HR operationsWork EnvironmentThis role may be based in an office setting, with potential collaboration across multiple manufacturing sites in North America.Prysmian, as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
