Compounding Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will help support our mission by ensuring high-quality execution of daily responsibilities, maintaining accuracy, and contributing to a collaborative environment focused on patient care and continuous improvement. Location: Lexington, KYJob Type: Full Time Permanent Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-5:00 PM Compensation: $19.50/hour   How You’ll Make an Impact Carefully prepare medications of the highest quality to meet the needs of individual patientsCompound non-sterile medications including, but not limited to capsules, oral liquids, topical medications, nasal preparations, tablets, or treatsLabel prescriptions and prepackage bulk medicationsMonitor inventory levels for re-order of depleting inventory or expiring chemicals, and receive additional inventoryPerform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning using appropriate disinfectants and techniquesPerform environmental monitoring and validation testing according to policies and proceduresUtilize strong attention to detail, math skills, and extreme focusMeet or exceed metrics for creating prescriptionsHelp ensure pet owners and vets get their medicine in a timely fashionWhat We’re Looking For Obtained a High School Diploma or GEDEstablished strong basic math skillsObtained a Certified Pharmacy Technician license through the KY State Board of Pharmacy or are able to do so upon hireWorked in a fast-paced environment and followed specific instructions or procedures What You’ll Love About Wedgewood Competitive compensation and benefits Opportunities for growth and career development A supportive, team-first culture where your work matters The ability to make a real impact on animal health every day Why We Do What We Do At Wedgewood Pharmacy, your work has purpose.
