Forklift Sales Representative (Inside & Outside Sales)

Starlift Equipment is a Forklift Dealership in West Haven, CT. We have been a leader in the material handling industry since 1986. We are seeking a sales representative to join our team and service accounts in Connecticut, New York & Massachusetts. You will be working directly with the Sales, Service, Parts & Rental Departments and reporting directly to the Sales department, helping facilitate the following: New & used truck sales New & used truck aftermarket opportunities Service Parts Rentals Prospecting & acquisition of service work opportunities at existing and new accounts on all brands of lift trucks Prospecting & the facilitation of rental opportunities Prospecting & the facilitation of parts opportunities Additional job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Going on new & used truck deliveries to go over forklift, explain warranty & set up PM service contracts Going on demonstrations (demo's) to go through machine with customer Forklift Safety Training Cold Calling / Prospecting (New / Used truck sales, service & rentals) Troubleshoot & resolve product issues and concerns Document and update customer records based on interactions Sales department paperwork coordination and admin Qualifications: Previous experience in customer service, sales, or other related fields Material handling / Forklift knowledge or experience Ability to build rapport with clients Ability to prioritize and multitask Positive and professional demeanor Excellent written and verbal communication skills Additional Perks Job advancement opportunities Monthly car expense or gas allowance Cell phone expense Medical and Prescription Plan 401k with a partial company match Paid vacation days Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: sales: 3 years (Required) License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Work Location: In person
