Expanded Learning Program Director - ASES
*Pay Range:* $70,304 - $85,068 Per Year

*Position Summary: *
Assist in the development, organization, and implementation of high-quality YMCA Expanded Learning program(s).
*Essential Functions:*
1. Assist with program development, implementation and leadership. Plan, prepare, implement and evaluate activities and curriculum.
2. Build and foster strong relationships with various stakeholders. Demonstrate the desire to serve others, fulfill community needs, and deliver a high value/quality experiences for participants. Building rapport with various stakeholders is critical.
3. Lead and influence others. Directly supervise and coach staff and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Long Beach Unified School District and YMCA procedures, policies, and applicable law. Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers.
4. Ensure compliance in accordance with ASES requirements, partner agency and YMCA standards. Maintain accurate and up - to - date site/program rosters, prepare and process reports, correspondence and other documentation.
5. Provide back-up support and supervision for the site manager and department management.
6. Assist in the marketing and distribution of program information, outreach and registration.
7. Attend all staff meetings, trainings, and other YMCA functions as required by Supervisor.
8. Maintain open fines of communication with participants, staff, and supervisor.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

*Qualifications:*
1. Education & Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Additional years of relevant experience may offset some educational requirements. First Aid and CPR certification required.
2. Additional Requirements: Criminal Clearance: Including Fingerprints and background clearance, health screening with Negative Tb, and Negative Drug Test Screening.
3. Complete New Employee Orientation and Child Abuse Prevention Training.
4. Experience & Background: 2 years of program experience and proficiency in Microsoft, Excel, Word and Outlook, data entry skills, use of office machines, and organizational skills required. 2 years of experience in a supervisory role required.
5. Excellent leadership and supervisory skills; a goal-oriented individual who sets high standards and expectations for their programs, staff, and self.
6. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and relationship building skills, as well as a strong ability manage projects.
7. Exceptional written and oral communication skills are required.
8. Must have the ability to travel between sites.
9. Must have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
