Part-Time Teller

The Part-Time Teller provides accurate and efficient transaction processing while delivering exceptional customer service. This role supports daily branch operations, assists customers with routine banking needs, and promotes bank products and services.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to handle cash transactions with accuracy while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & TransactionsProcess deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and payments accurately and efficientlyHandle cash transactions while maintaining proper cash controls and limitsBalance cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies promptlyRespond to customer inquiries and resolve routine issues in a professional and timely mannerDeliver consistent, high-quality customer experienceSales & ReferralsIdentify customer needs and recommend appropriate bank products and servicesCross-sell basic banking products and refer customers to appropriate staff when neededSupport branch sales efforts by contributing to referral and service goalsBranch Operations SupportAssist with night depository processing, including logging and verifying depositsSupport vault operations as needed, including balancing currency and coinProcess official checks, money orders, stop payments, and account service requestsAccept loan and installment paymentsAdministrative & Operational TasksMaintain accurate records, scan documents, and update customer informationAnswer phone calls and direct customers to appropriate personnelAssist with reports, data entry, and routine clerical dutiesProcess debit/credit card requests, address changes, and check ordersCompliance & Risk ManagementFollow all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsVerify customer identification and ensure proper documentation for transactionsIdentify and escalate suspicious or unusual activityQualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredPrevious cash handling or customer service experience preferredBanking experience is a plus but not requiredSkills & AbilitiesStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsBasic math skills and ability to handle cash transactionsEffective verbal communication skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentBasic computer and data entry skillsPreferred TraitsReliable and dependable with strong work ethicPositive attitude and team-oriented mindsetAbility to remain calm and professional under pressureWillingness to learn and adapt to new processesPhysical & Work EnvironmentOffice environment with frequent standing and customer interactionAbility to lift up to 40 pounds as neededUse of standard office and banking equipmentAdditional InformationMust comply with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory standardsThis position may require occasional schedule flexibility based on branch needsJob duties may be modified at any time based on business needsPay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingEmployee assistance programPaid sick timePaid time offVolunteer time offWork Location: In person
