Sales & Business Development - MGISDUNCAN PARNELL INC – Richmond, Virginia, United States – SalesAbout this positionThe Sales & Business Development Representative is responsible for exploring and providing solutions and services to the GIS/Utility/ Environmental markets in eastern Virginia, Maryland and Delaware for geospatial data collection and utility management. These solutions will be focused on the Trimble Mapping, Juniper Systems, and Laser Technology products lines along with Duncan-Parnell and ESRI GIS solutions.This is a remote position, but the successful candidate must live within the sales territory of eastern Virginia, Maryland or Delaware.Essential Functions and DutiesUnderstand the "in-field" geospatial needs of various customersDemonstrate the solutions (as mentioned above) to existing and new clientsDevelop workflows and processes then help implement these for the clientSell and provide 1st tier technical support for these solutionsResearch and promote the best geospatial solutions available based on the needs of these customersAttend and exhibit at regional conferences/networking eventsRequirementsAbility to develop a plan for the territory and work the plan aggressivelyDeal with customers and employees in a positive, proactive mannerAbility to network, technically present and develop unrecognized client potentialsMeticulous attention to detail and accuracyGood time manager with ability to multi-task, self-prioritize and meet deadlines.Work independently, self-motivatedExtremely organized with strong follow-up skills.Travel required, 40%-50% potentialLive within the geographic sales territoryAdditional Requirements3 – 5 years similar work experience in sales or technical background related to GIS and utilities industryExperience with Trimble GNSS mapping solutions and integration with Esri software and mobile applicationsWork experience and proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and TeamsExperience managing ArcGIS Online or Portal organizations to include publishing data for field use, web map and app creation a plusDegree in Business or GIS related field a plusCompensation and Benefits IncludeCompetitive SalaryMedical, dental, vision, accident, life, & long-term disability insurance availableMedical and dependent care FSA or HSA401(k) retirement planPaid parental leavePTO & HolidaysThe statements above are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this position.
