Civil Construction Project Manager

J+M Infrastructure is a Utilities, Site & Civil Contractor. We excel in Civil Construction and Site Development Contracting with an emphasis on Utilities and Excavation. We assist with new construction projects by performing demolition, clearing, excavation, asphalt paving, concrete work, water mains, sewer and storm drainage throughout central and southwest Virginia.We are looking for qualified candidates to work on our construction sites located in Charlottesville and the Lynchburg, VA area.This position requires a team leader who will be responsible for project budgets and schedules, overseeing site work and keeping projects on schedule, track changes and note delays.The Project Manager will create owner change orders and owner billings, review subcontractor billings and vendor invoices for processing on-time payments and other duties as required. This highly motivated candidate will need to maintain relationships with owners, vendors, subcontractors, field employees and office staff.Knowledge and Experience:6 years of experience preferred, preferably in VirginiaMust be a motivated self-starterAbility to work independently with little/no assistancePerform Material & Qty Take-offsSolicit and evaluate Subcontractor and Vendor QuotesCreate schedules with manpower & equipment requirementsMust be able to read Plans & SpecificationsExperience in utilities constructionMaintain cost estimating tools including databases, spreadsheets, and other computer-based applications.Excellent Customer Interaction skillsExperience in the construction industry is requiredEstimating experience is a plusStrong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust pass drug test/screeningExcellent in ExcelStrong Computer skills a mustPowered by JazzHR
