Our summer camp provides a safe, joyful, and engaging environment where children can grow socially, academically, and spiritually while enjoying the fun of summer.Position SummaryThe Summer Camp Counselor is responsible for supervising and engaging students in a multi-age camp setting. Counselors help create a positive camp culture by leading activities, supporting student relationships, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all campers.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or higher requiredExperience working with children preferredAbility to work effectively with multi-age groups of studentsStrong organizational skillsManagement or leadership experience a plusCPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Key CharacteristicsLoves working with children and enjoys being active and engagedCreative, energetic, and enthusiasticPatient, caring, and compassionateStrong communicator with both students and staffResponsible, dependable, and punctualPositive role model who demonstrates integrity and kindnessResponsibilitiesSupervise campers to ensure a safe and structured environmentPlan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, academic enrichment, and outdoor activitiesFoster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all studentsSupport positive behavior and model respectful interactionsAssist with setup, cleanup, and organization of camp materialsCollaborate with fellow counselors and administration to ensure smooth daily operationsCommunicate effectively with camp leadership regarding student needs or concernsPhysical RequirementsAbility to actively supervise children indoors and outdoorsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and participate in recreational activitiesDivine Redeemer School is committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment where children are embraced, enriched, and empowered.
