Senior Java Developer - Vice President
The Sr Java Applications Development is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs as individual contributor. The overall objective of this role is to build and code frameworks and services that are reusable for complex requirements.Responsibilities:Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvementsResolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standardsProvide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprintUtilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementationDevelop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goalsProvide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutionsServe as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessaryAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Required Qualifications:Proficiency in programming in Java, API, Cloud engineeringHands on experience of building RESTful APIs using popular frameworks like SpringExperience in Oracle , SQL , NoSql - MongoDBExperience in Cloud - Openshift Kubernetes , Messaging systems - MQ , KafkaExperience of following clean code principlesSolid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.Able to independently work in fast paced and rapidly changing environmentExperience in systems analysis and programming of software applicationsAbility to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirementsRecommended Qualifications:Experience in Financial domain with focus on Payments is a plusUnderstanding of GenAI, LLMs is a plusExperience in integrating mainframe applications with Kafka or API is a plus6+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis roleExtensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applicationsExperience in managing and implementing successful projectsSubject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications DevelopmentAbility to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictateDemonstrated leadership and project management skillsConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communicationEducation:Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster's degree preferredJob Family Group:TechnologyJob Family:Applications DevelopmentTime Type:Full timePrimary Location:New Castle Delaware United StatesPrimary Location Full Time Salary Range:$125,760.00 - $188,640.00In addition to salary, Citi's offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
