CAD Drafter

Job Title: CAD DrafterAwesome opportunity for recent graduates with their Associates, CAD certification or Bachelors degree seeking opportunities drafting and interacting with customers. This role also offers quarterly bonuses based on performance!As a CAD Drafter, you will generate layout drawings from customer-supplied CAD files, plans, and sketches, and create accurate bills of material based on these drawings. This role is highly customer-facing, requiring you to interact regularly with customers and internal sales teams, often needing to clarify requirements via phone calls. Additionally, you will generate detailed production and part drawings, design both standard products and customer-specific applications, manage drawing workload, and provide engineering and technical support to sales, production personnel, and customers. The role primarily involves drafting in CAD (80% of the time) and generating quotes, with the remainder dedicated to administrative tasks.Responsibilities+ Generate layout drawings from customer-supplied CAD files, plans, and sketches.+ Create accurate bills of material based on drawings.+ Interact with customers and internal sales teams to clarify requirements.+ Generate detailed production and part drawings.+ Design standard products and customer-specific applications as required.+ Schedule and manage drawing workload.+ Provide engineering and technical support to sales, production personnel, and customers.Essential Skills+ Associates Degree in CAD or CAD Certificate.+ Experience with AutoCAD.+ Experience with SolidWorks.+ Proficiency in drafting and generating quotes.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Experience working with ERP systems.+ 3D SolidWorks experience is a plus.+ Project management experience.+ Experience working with metal-based products.Work EnvironmentYou will be part of a team of 4-6 other drafters and will report directly to the Inside Sales/CAD Manager. The work involves intermediate-level CAD work primarily focused on putting together fencing and similar structures, emphasizing speed over complexity. The company offers a stable, long-term opportunity and promotes from within. A bonus of up to 20K per year is available, paid out quarterly and based on hitting KPIs.
