This position combines core financial planning and analysis work, like forecasting and variance analysis, with hands-on use of tools like Power BI and Power Query. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Finance team and helping drive smarter, data-informed decisions across the organization.What You Will Be Doing:Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports Support month-end close, including variance and margin analysis Build and maintain financial models and forecasts Develop and improve reporting tools using Power BI and Power Query Partner with operations and cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights Support budgeting and annual planning processes Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities Assist with ad hoc reporting and strategic analysis projects Skills and Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field 2–3 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or financial analysis Advanced Excel skills and strong Power BI experience (required) Experience working with ERP data and building data models Understanding of financial statements, forecasting, and variance analysis Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills About Star Staffing:A women-powered workforce solutions and staffing company serving Northern California with offices in Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Napa, Fairfield, Sacramento, Lodi, Hayward, Stockton, and Manteca.
