Development Engineer Electronics Defense & Security

Overview ScioTeq Rugged Computing products are designed to meet extreme operating environments governed by MIL STD and EN military specifications. These products are rarely sold as “off the shelf” products. Customers typically require customization for their specific applications and requirements. This often requires creative problem solving, custom electronics design approaches, and adaptable baseline designs. We need an engineer with a unique skill set that pertains to both product sustainment and design. Responsibilities Oversight of Smart Display configurations for customer project Electrical design for customization requirements for customer projects including printed circuit board assemblies, cables, and EMI mitigation Ensuring MIL-STD product qualification (thermal, environmental, EMI, etc) Documentation control for technical documents and design files Troubleshooting and problem resolution for existing product issues Engineering Change Management Manufacturing and Purchasing support Qualifications 4 - 7 years’ related electronics product development experience in manufacturing industries BSEE strongly preferred or equivalent experience Printed circuit board schematic design experience Demonstrated hands-on lab experience prototyping, troubleshooting, and performing root cause analysis EMI/EMC testing and troubleshooting experience is desirable Defense industry product development experience is preferred Manufacturing ERP system experience is desirable Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Offer Colleagues who share determination and high standards of work that move the world forward Career opportunities in an international environment Challenging projects in high tech markets A competitive salary package and a great company culture with many development opportunities ScioTeq LLC is an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
