DescriptionUnderstand and apply maintenance policies and procedures in the areas of parts security, inventory storage, warranty, and record keeping. Have familiarity of different vehicles and OEM components in the CARTA fleet. Maintain reporting and documentation requirements with the RTA System. RequirementsEssential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary:Handles parts deliveries, pick-ups and shipping Performs daily check of consumable inventory Assists with parts inventory audits Ensures proper and safe storage and disposal of fuels, lubricants and all hazardous materials Cleans the parts storage area Issues parts to maintenance technicians Uses computerized record keeping systems for material inventories Processes required forms and reports Maintains, supports and promotes a safe work environment while complying with all safety rules, policies and procedures Preferred Education and Experience:Experience in an automated warehouse or inventory control environment desirable Inventory control experience is preferred Methods, materials, equipment and safety procedures utilized in the maintenance and repair of AC/DC Theories, principles and practices of warehousing, distribution inventory of material, handling and storage of hazardous or construction material and applicable environmental regulations. Applicable local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations governing environmental concerns Hazardous waste handling and storage in a public agency. Automated and manual material handling systems Communicated effectively orally and in writing Interact professionally with various levels of employees and outside representatives Operate computers and general office equipment Analyze situations, identify problems and recommend solutions Exercise judgment in making decisions
