Mechanical Project Engineer

Summary: Performs complete project designs for medium complexity projects with minimal supervision, including but not limited to HVAC system design, plumbing system design, and fire protection system design. Manages the entire project team. Possesses basic knowledge of other engineering disciplines, good writing and communication skills, and knowledge of local agency standards and specifications.Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Performs engineering studies and writes reports documenting findings and recommendations.Performs engineering calculations.Develops system design layout.Edits project specifications.Reads codes and standards to ensure code compliant designs.Manages project team to ensure deadlines are met.Coordinates with vendors and agencies to complete the design.Conducts site visits to confirm existing conditions and perform job site observations.Reviews and responds to RFIs and submittals.Communicates with others.Uses Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and other software.Continues education through seminars, classes, and additional readings.
