Americas Controller
Overview
In this role you will own the Americas financial operations, ensuring GAAP-compliant close cycles, robust internal controls, and scalable accounting infrastructure across the US, Brazil, and Mexico. You will bridge regional operations with Global HQ, drive automation and AI-enabled finance processes, and partner with leadership to align regional performance with corporate objectives. You’ll lead the close, tax and payroll compliance, and coordinate audits while building a proactive, cross-functional finance team. This is a strategic, hands-on controller role at a fast-growing, multinational company with a focus on scale and accuracy.

ResponsibilitiesOwn the general ledger in accordance with US GAAP for Americas subsidiariesLead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesManage regional AP and Payroll teams and mentor staffDevelop and refine accounting policies and internal controlsEnsure proper revenue recognition, capitalization, accruals, and intercompany reconciliationsCoordinate with external accounting teams and service providers across jurisdictionsManage US federal and state taxes, quarterly estimates, filings, and planningOversee end-to-end payroll compliance, payroll taxes, filings, and SOX complianceCollaborate with external tax advisors for timely filings across jurisdictionsPrepare internal reporting, dashboards, and variance analysesLead annual financial statements and coordinate external auditsSupport external reporting, investor updates, and due diligenceDrive automation, AI implementations to reduce manual workflows and enhance redundancyCollaborate with Legal, HR, and Operations for cross-border scaling
