We thrive on maintaining high standards, obsessing over our customers, and living our values of being bold, humble, and accountable.We are seeking a Staff Quality Engineer owning and delivering quality for large, complex financial trading systems. This role will be part of our Platform Services team.Location: This role requires 2-3 days a week in office in San Francisco, CA.ResponsibilitiesBuild comprehensive, bottom-up test strategies for the Platform Services organizationWrite test plans covering various customer use cases, including functional, compliance, and legal aspectsEngage in projects from the initiation phase to identify requirement gaps and design failure modesAct as a force multiplier to help developers shift testing leftAutomate tests based on priority and business valueHelp adopt best practices to improve code qualityCollaborate with product, design, information security, and business teams to quickly grasp domain knowledgeDevelop concise, clear, and detailed documentationParticipate in scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical test design, and gap analysisProvide technical expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues, including determining workarounds or escalating to service ownersIdentify defect trends and partner with development teams to address root causesLeverage AI technologies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of testingQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)8–12 years of software testing experienceExperience in fintech, trading, or financial servicesExperience leading quality efforts for internet applicationsExpertise in test automation (UI, API, or other layers)Experience enhancing test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, K6, etc.QualificationsExperience in end-to-end (E2E) automation, contract testing, API automation, and load/performance testingExperience with CI/CD pipelinesExperience mentoring other quality engineersProven track record of teamwork and deliveryExperience at high-growth, venture-backed startupsExperience with TypeScript and Node.js (strong plus)For residents of the San Francisco, CA area, the annual salary range for this role is $169,000 - $190,000 + annual bonus.
