Job Title - Molecular BiologistLocation - Research Triangle Park, NCDuration – 12+ Months ContractTotal Hours/week - 40.001st ShiftClient: Medical Device CompanyEmployment Type: Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens Or GC Holders Only)Work days/hours: M - F 8am - 5pmOnsite/Virtual: Onsite dailyDescription:Temp Position – Cervical Cancer Assay Development• 3 Must haves on the resume:o Must haves: strong molecular biology background – PCR assay design and analysis; strong written and verbal communication; training in molecular biology, biochemistry or chemistryo Note – someone with experience in molecular biology AND reagent formulation work would be highly preferredo Temp only – depending on project need extension to 1 year possible.o Interviews – Microsoft Teamso Rounds – 2 – Initial phone call with HM; those progressing will meet with the teamo BS required, MS or PhD preferredWe are seeking a molecular biologist to join our dynamic team as a temporary associate. This team member will participate in the development of novel DNA workflows and will perform qPCR assay development, testing, and validation. The team member must have strong written and verbal communication skills and a preference for working in a team environment. BSL2 experience is preferred.Job Responsibilities• Adherence to all laboratory SOPs, including BSL2 procedures• Accurate and comprehensive documentation in LIMS/QA systems (GLP environment)• Handling of human clinical samples• DNA isolation• Set-up and analysis of qPCR assays• Reagent preparation, including lyophilization• Cell culture of Biosafety Level 2 (BSL2) human adherent cell linesJob Requirements and Experience• B.A./B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field• 2+ year experience in molecular biology laboratory environment (university or industry)• Demonstrated expertise in DNA isolation and QC required• Experience developing qPCR assays required• Experience running qPCR assays required• Comfort with troubleshooting qPCR assays required• Learning agility and timely execution of tasks required• Excellent attention to detail with an understanding of laboratory practices is required• Strong written and verbal communication skills required• Experience with reagent dry-down or lyophilization highly preferred• Prior experience in BSL2 environment preferred• Prior experience in human adherent cell culture preferred• Experience implementing epigenetic assays preferred
