Senior Data Architect

We’re looking for a Senior Data Architect with strong experience in heavy manufacturing, AWS, Databricks, and industrial semantic data modeling. This role will lead the design of enterprise data architectures, API contracts, and canonical data models that unify MES, Historian, LIMS, ERP, and OT data across manufacturing operations.Key Responsibilities:Design ISA-95-aligned semantic models and enterprise data architecturesBuild scalable data platforms using AWS and DatabricksDefine contract-first APIs, data schemas, and reusable modeling standardsCreate a semantic data layer supporting analytics, AI/ML, digital twins, and operational intelligenceEnsure data governance, traceability, interoperability, and consistency across plant and enterprise systemsPartner with engineering, AI, and business teams to drive data strategyRequired Experience:10+ years in manufacturing, industrial, or process industriesStrong AWS expertise (S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Lambda, API Gateway, Redshift, IoT, SiteWise, EventBridge)Hands-on Databricks experience, including Delta Lake and Unity CatalogDeep knowledge of semantic data modeling, canonical data models, and industrial information architecturesExperience integrating MES, Historian, LIMS, ERP, and OT systemsStrong REST API, OpenAPI, JSON/YAML schema, and contract-first development experienceKnowledge of ISA-95, OPC-UA, SiteWise, and industrial interoperability standardsExperience enabling AI/ML, digital twins, and real-time manufacturing analyticsStrong leadership and stakeholder management skillsPreferred:Industry 4.0 and smart factory experienceKnowledge graphs, semantic layers, and digital thread architecturesAWS and/or Databricks certifications
