Generate a profitable return on investment for the client by assisting them at every stage of their project development.Your role:Reporting to the director of mandate management, your experience, technical knowledge, and multiple skills will be put to use. In direct liaison with the client representative, you will be responsible for setting up and coordinating the engineering and construction team in order to carry out projects in the renewable energy sector. You will contribute to defining the scope of work, developing effective work methods to achieve the precise objectives of the projects, and defining the schedule and costs of completion. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the technical design of engineering deliverables. You will work autonomously and will usually determine your work priorities. You will act as a resource person for colleagues.The challenges that will allow you to excel:Analyze client needs, interpret, define the scope of a project, structure, in collaboration with department directors, the team to meet objectives;Coordinate the estimation of fees and prepare budget requests to the client;Plan execution, and implement follow-up mechanisms;Identify and manage changes and risks of overrun;Perform coordination between disciplines or provide the necessary assistance to another project manager;Work in a multi-region team, communicate and share information, participate in the estimation of the time required to carry out engineering activities and follow up on projects;Collaborate with discipline managers on large multidisciplinary projects;Ensure the quality of deliverables provided to clients;Lead or actively participate in client meetings;Be the guardian of the scope of work, budget, and schedule;Inform, gain the adherence and motivate the team;Anticipate, identify and manage changes and negotiate them with the client if necessary;Be the main interface with the client;Provide regular project reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to the management group;Participate in risk analysis;Participate in the preparation of service offers as needed.What makes you the ideal person for this position:Bachelor's degree in engineeringMinimum 10 years of experience in the renewable energy fieldExperience in multidisciplinary project managementExperience in engineering consultancyVery strong leadership senseDetermined and proactiveAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyResourcefulness, autonomy, team spirit, sense of humor, and good work organizationAbility to travel to our clients for data collection or meetingsFunctional or perfect bilingualism, due to frequent communication with clients and external partners outside Quebec;For the possibility of working on projects in English and French at the national and international level.Mastery of the Office suite and Microsoft Project software (an asset)Experience in the hydroelectric sector, renewable energy production, transport and distribution, where wind and solar are (an asset)Experience in power electricity (an asset)At Tetra Tech, we offer a collaborative environment that promotes individual performance, innovation, and creativity.
