Senior Data Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role• Lead and mentor data engineering tech leads across multiple build teams using Databricks and a data engineering Center of Excellence.• Guide teams through the full software development lifecycle, including design, build, test, and run.• Define best practices, establish common code frameworks, and elevate engineering maturity.• Oversee the implementation of Databricks to replace legacy analytical platforms and drive better business outcomes.• Collaborate closely with solution architects, agile team tech leads, data product owners, and other partners.• Drive Spark performance optimization and lead platform cost optimization opportunities.What You'll Need• 3-5 years of hands-on Databricks experience with complementary technologies.• Proven experience in a Tech Lead role, including leading developers and decomposing work.• Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor, influence, and align stakeholders.• Solid grounding in general analytics, data warehousing, and modern data engineering practices.• Experience working in Agile frameworks and writing high-quality user stories.• Ability to navigate ambiguity and provide clarity for your team and partners.What's On Offer• Competitive annual salary ($120,900 - $187,000) plus bonus potential.• Comprehensive healthcare coverage and retirement savings options.• Generous paid time off, including holidays and volunteer time off.• Opportunities for professional development, including tuition reimbursement and training support.Apply via Haystack today!
