Montessori Teacher - Primary Lead Guide

Job Summary: We’re seeking a creative, energetic, and collaborative Lead Guide to join us for our inaugural 2024-2025 school year. The Zion School is a faith-based, one-room microschool nestled within the beautiful Glenwood Park neighborhood, along the eastside BeltLine trail of Atlanta, Georgia. DUTIES: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in line with the school curriculum Provide instruction in various subjects including Math, Language, Sensorial, and Practical Life Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning Utilize effective classroom management techniques to ensure student behavior is conducive to learning Provide individualized support through tutoring and early intervention strategies Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and educational initiatives Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians Requirements: Early Childhood 3-6 MACTE/AMI/AMS credential or Montessori training preferred Previous Experience working in a Montessori classroom environment Skilled classroom manager, inspiring children to be their best selves and patiently coaching them through solution-finding processes Able to work between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily during our balanced year calendar; once hired, applicants can choose to increase base pay by working during our Session Break Camps Interest or experience in outdoor education or similar experience is a big plus! Strong knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning Familiarity with education administration practices Ability to incorporate physical education activities into lesson plans Proficiency in classroom technology and educational software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Legally authorized to work in the United States - This is a full-time position with a competitive salary (commensurate with experience), Montessori professional development allowance and tuition assistance for dependent children. The salary range for this position is between $40,000 and $50,000.
