**Utilities Technician (Industrial Maintenance & Refrigeration)****Overview**A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking a Utilities Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of facility systems.This role is critical in ensuring production uptime through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of utility and refrigeration systems.**Schedule**Work hours may vary based on operational needs, coverage requirements, and production demands, including adjustments during peak periods or holidays.**Key Responsibilities**+ Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility systems including air compressors, boilers, HVAC systems, water systems, and power utilities+ Operate and maintain industrial refrigeration systems utilizing ammonia and CO2+ Conduct routine inspections to monitor temperature, humidity, and system performance; make necessary adjustments+ Execute preventative and predictive maintenance on refrigeration and utility equipment including compressors, pumps, fans, heat exchangers, glycol systems, and motors+ Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues within industrial systems+ Monitor boiler and compressor performance; coordinate and perform corrective maintenance as needed+ Perform water treatment testing, boiler analysis, and combustion efficiency checks+ Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance system performance and reduce downtime+ Prioritize maintenance tasks to support continuous production operations+ Support and collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist in other areas when needed+ Provide oversight and direction to contractors when applicable**Qualifications & Experience**+ Ammonia Operator certification required; willingness to obtain Boiler Operator certification (Grade 5)+ Hands-on experience with industrial maintenance and refrigeration systems+ Strong understanding of ammonia refrigeration systems and safety protocols+ Ability to repair and replace mechanical and electrical components such as motors, starters, switches, valves, and compressors+ Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings+ Experience with SAP or similar maintenance systems preferred+ Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)+ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently+ Effective communication skills and demonstrated leadership in safety and workplace standards+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment**Physical Requirements**+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds+ Must be medically cleared to wear respiratory protection (air-purifying respirators)+ Ability to work in physically demanding environments including climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces+ Compliance with OSHA, PSM, HAZMAT, and all safety regulations**Work Environment**+ Exposure to industrial production and utility environments+ Work at heights requiring fall protection equipment+ Operation of equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, and aerial lifts (certification required)+ Team-oriented environment focused on safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement**Compensation & Benefits**+ **Pay:** $30.00 - $45.00 per hour+ 401(k) with company match+ Medical, dental, and life insurance+ Paid time off**Location**Frederick, MD (On-site)**Pay Details:** $35.00 to $45.00 per hourEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledMilitary connected talent encouraged to applyTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.adecco.com/en-us/candidate-privacyThe Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:+ The California Fair Chance Act+ Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance+ Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers+ San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance**Massachusetts Candidates Only:** It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
