Overview We are seeking an experienced Technical Engineer III to serve as a subject matter expert across key infrastructure and security technologies. This role is ideal for a senior-level engineer who thrives in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex enterprise solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 12 months
Responsibilities Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure and security solutions
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions
Lead system architecture, infrastructure design, and implementation efforts
Manage and coordinate vendor resources and third-party technologies
Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures
Mentor junior engineers and review technical deliverables
Ensure compliance with risk, regulatory, and internal control standards
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across systems and platforms
Core Skills & Technologies Active Directory administration
Security tools: Proxy, SIEM, Entra, DLP, Firewalls
Incident and request management
Automation tools and scripting
Server/client and virtual infrastructure technologies
Required Qualifications 6+ years of combined education and/or experience in systems design, engineering, or architecture
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Experience interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
6+ years of experience in infrastructure design, system architecture, or application development
Advanced knowledge of enterprise technologies and system integrations
Strong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills
Experience in financial services or regulated environments
