QA/QC Engineer

Position Summary We are recruiting for a QA/QC Engineer to join our Structural Technologies/VSL team in our office in Pompano Beach, FL. The engineer will be responsible for quality control of shop drawings and for providing technical support for the detailing, installation, and repair of various post‑tension systems. The role involves working closely with detailing, coordination, shop, and estimating teams and maintaining current knowledge of the latest developments in post‑tension design and construction. Responsibilities The QA/QC Engineer will: Review shop drawings and detailed plans for compliance with design intent and applicable codes. Provide technical support for post‑tension detailing, installation, and repair work. Attend client meetings and site visits for inspections, repairs, and coordination. Maintain knowledge of current post‑tension design standards, review technical publications, attend conferences, and engage with industry representatives. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree in Engineering given preference). 3–5 years of experience in post‑tension detailing, design, and/or engineering. Strong understanding of relevant PTI and ACI codes. Demonstrated knowledge of reinforced concrete design, steel design, materials mechanics, and cast‑in‑place concrete construction practice. Experience evaluating, assessing, and repairing post‑tensioned systems. High attention to detail and ability to prioritize work on several projects simultaneously. A Florida PE license or ability to obtain one in a short time will be given preference.
