Senior Research Analyst
SUMMARY
Dedicated to providing quality, family-friendly content, Hallmark Media has continued its leadership position in the traditional TV space and is forging into streaming content in the SVOD and FAST platforms. This position will collaborate and communicate with program research (west coast team) to ensure cohesion and flawless execution.
Hallmark Media is searching for an analytical and innovative researcher to provide razor sharp insights and analysis for key decision makers, covering projects for Hallmark Channel, Hallmark +, Hallmark Mystery, Hallmark Family & Hallmark Movies & More.
In partnership with the Director/Manager, the Senior Analyst works closely with the team to deliver insights that help drive Ad Sales/Cross-Platform revenue growth. The researcher in this position plays an instrumental role in the collection and analysis of recurring reporting that tracks internal and competitive media networks and streaming platforms. They assist the team in making actionable observations by gathering and interpreting data that helps guide decisions for key stakeholders. This person will be a curious and resourceful researcher who works well in a collaborative setting.

The Senior Analyst of Ad Sales Research will be responsible for supporting the well-respected Hallmark Media brand and leading their team to success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES
Work with the team to provide internal clients (Ad Sales, Publicity, Marketing, Finance and Corp Comm) research appropriate to their strategic goals
Provide necessary day-to-day information and ad hoc research needs to Ad Sales Account Executives, Cross-Platform sales/planning, Planners and Assistants.
Maintain all Ad Sales/Cross-Platform reporting and tracks to monitor Actuals vs Estimates, year-over-year performance, and competitive positioning.
Support Hallmark Media for both linear & digital/streaming platforms with weekly, monthly, quarterly and full year ratings highlights, one-sheets and presentations for marketing and publicity.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of research experience in the media publisher/vendor sector functioning in a service role supporting the needs of Ad Sales (key), Publicity, Marketing, Finance and Corporate Communications, developing research appropriate to their strategic goals
Experience with linear and digital/streaming platforms - Nielsen Systems, MRI, WhipMedia, Antenna TV and Star Media.
Knowledge of media math and manipulating data into accurate, timely, actionable business insights.
Experience managing multiple, simultaneous projects.
PC experience using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and Tableau
Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, preferably in related field of study
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Experience within a cable, broadcast, and streaming research team preferred.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to apply to research planning and execution to address business questions in the traditional and digital/streaming space.
Strong attention to detail, particularly when it comes to data management-quality and reporting.
Experience with comScore, WhipMedia, Antenna TV, EDO and Vivvix a plus.
Pro-active and looks for solutions and information in creative ways.
Willingness and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment and switch gears wherever needed.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to tell a data-driven story.
Must have strong collaboration skills.
The salary range for this job is between $70,100- $93,400. Salary rate will take into consideration several factors including location.
