Candidates must be able to utilize SBAR communication effectively. Weekends will be required as part of the job responsibilities. Skills and experience needed include acute hospital care, long-term acute care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, care coordination, admission criteria, discharge planning, and utilization review processes. Candidates should be knowledgeable in UR appeals and denials, concurrent stay reviews, and retrospective reviews. Experience with CMS guidelines, CPT coding, DRG classifications, HEDIS measures, HIPAA guidelines, ICD-10 coding, and NCQA standards is essential.
