Darktrace's platform and services are supported by over 2,400 employees around the world.As a Renewals Director (Individual Contributor), you will serve as a subject matter expert in renewals, owning and driving renewal outcomes for a portfolio of KEY ACCOUNT customers. Your primary focus will be to maximize customer retention and expansion through timely renewals, proactive risk management, and the identification of upsell and cross-sell opportunities.You will lead complex, high-value renewal negotiations for strategic and enterprise accounts and partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal. This role requires strong business acumen, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority. You will play a critical role in shaping renewal strategy, processes, and best practices while directly executing against company retention and growth objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and execute renewals for a portfolio of strategic and enterprise KEY ACCOUNTS within the AMS region, driving retention, expansion, and long-term customer valueLead complex, high-value renewal negotiations, balancing customer outcomes with commercial and revenue goalsCarry an individual quota, including Renewal Bookings (ATR Renewal Rate) and Expansion Bookings, defined engagement metricsProactively identify renewal risks and expansion opportunities, applying renewal uplift strategies to maximize outcomesPartner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, and executive stakeholders to align on renewal strategy and deal structureEstablish and own operational objectives across a broad scope of responsibility, influencing company-wide outcomesMake independent, high-impact decisions that directly affect short-term business results and renewal performanceBuild and leverage strong internal partnerships, influencing cross-functional stakeholders without formal authorityStay current on industry trends, best practices, and the competitive landscape, applying insights to enhance renewal strategies and customer valueQualifications & Experience810 years of relevant experience in renewals, customer success, account management, or other client-facing rolesAt least 2 years of direct experience managing renewals for KEY, STRATEGIC, or ENTERPRISE accountsDemonstrated deep expertise in renewals or a closely related domain, with success managing complex, high-value customer engagementsExceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior-level stakeholdersStrong ability to prioritize, manage time autonomously, and succeed in a cross-functional, fast-paced environmentProven problem-solving mindset with adaptability in dynamic business conditionsDemonstrated business acumen, connecting individual execution to broader organizational goalsFamiliarity with enterprise networking technologies (preferred) and a foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts and solutionsCompensation range: $145,000 - $175,000 70/30 splitBenefits:100% medical, dental and vision insurance, plus dependentsPaid parental leavePet insurance DiscountLife insuranceCommuter benefits401(k)Employee Assistance Program
