Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: - Work 48-hour weekly schedule on night shifts - Patient ratio of 1:6-7 with team nursing support from PCC and additional RNs - Provide care for adult and geriatric patients on 48-bed medical surgical unit with cardiac focus - Handle patients with CHF, AMI, post cath lab, pacemaker placements, and ablations - Verify rhythm strips, manage drips at set rates, and titrate heparin per protocol - Weekend coverage required as needed - On-call shifts as needed - Must have 2 years recent medical surgical experience (3 years preferred) - Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted unless 3 years recent experience - Level I Trauma Center experience required - Large hospital experience required - Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - Epic charting system experience preferred - Skills include MS/Tele, Med/Surg, and IV start - Must live at least 100 miles from facility (strict local rule) - Active RN license required (compact license accepted) - Flu vaccine required with no exemptions - May float between like units and campuses within 20 miles - Must work 1-2 holidays if they fall during assignment period Facility: This major healthcare facility operates as a short-term acute care hospital and Level I Trauma Center, providing comprehensive emergency and specialized medical services.
