divh2Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant/h2pA Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA) is responsible for assisting in day-to-day operations of attorney practices, including carrying out administrative services, providing support to the litigation practice group and ensuring that attorneys are able to provide exceptional service to their clients. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace./ppHourly Non-Exempt/ppResponsible for and accountable to assigned attorneys and the Office Administrator./ppEssential Duties:/pulliMaintains regular and punctual/liliWrites, proofreads, sends, files, and manages correspondence, memos, pleadings, contracts, forms and other related documents./liliReceives and routes incoming/liliTranscribes/liliAnswers telephone and routes calls as needed to appropriate members within the organization./liliManages appointments and maintains updated/liliCalendars all relevant/liliManages multiple time-sensitive projects and applies various procedural guidelines of differing jurisdictions./liliKeeps cases ordered by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with attorney./liliTracks case costs by verifying outstanding balances with attorney, clients, and/li/ulpOther Responsibilities:/pulliPerforms other work-related duties as/liliAttends staff/liliAssists other LAAs as needed with/li/ululliUpdates job knowledge by participating in ongoing educational opportunities, including but not limited to reading professional/liliFurthers organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests as well as exploring opportunities to add value to job/li/ulpEducation Experience and Skills Required:/pulliMinimum 3 years litigation experience/liliAdvanced verbal and written skills including strong command of spelling, punctuation, and grammar./liliInterpersonal skills to maintain strong client and co-worker/liliHighly organized and has acute attention to/liliTypes a minimum of 60/liliBasic knowledge of typical office equipment including multi-line phones, multi-function machines, cost recovery equipment, etc./liliIntermediate knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Nuance PDF./liliMinimum of high school diploma/li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliStanding and walking regularly, up to two hours per/liliSitting position, static for up to one-half hour at a time, up to six hours per/liliLifting and carrying up to 20 pounds/liliBending and stooping regularly, up to one hour per/li/ul/div
