To be considered for this position, you MUST have an ACTIVE Clearance Level of Top Secret/SCI with PolygraphPosition Code: 04-SA0619-1Location: Chantilly or McLeanSummaryThe successful candidate will work as part of the overall DBA team to determine, implement, and maintain the most efficient ways to ingest, organize and store petabytes of data from disparate system.Duties, Tasks & ResponsibilitiesParticipating and leading in the design, development, and administration of Oracle 19c databasesDesigning and developing database code for ETL of data from multiple sourcesConducting performance tuning and forecasting system scalabilityRecommending appropriate procedure, query, or package changes and optimizations to ensure and improve system performance and reliabilityInstalling and configuring database environmentsPerforming database backups and restoresManaging, monitoring, and administering of Oracle database systemsParticipating in server and storage capacity management and planningProviding technical support in the evaluation of database systems and database design.Recommending and implementing approved process and tool improvementsRequired Experience, Skills, & TechnologiesSignificant experience with Oracle 19c+ architecture and database design, and related Oracle technologies (Partitioning, Encryption, Pluggable Database, etc.) on Linux systemsSignificant Oracle Exadata experienceSignificant PL/SQL developer experienceSignificant Oracle Label Security (OLS) experienceSignificant experience and knowledge in methodologies to improve database query performance.Ability to work with multiple teams to enhance their code and improve performance.Significant experience in the optimization of database environmentsStrong understanding of high-availability solutions and architectureStrong understanding of backup methodologies and their implementation (RMAN, Data Guard)Experience managing and tuning very large databases (terabytes and petabytes)Strong documentation skillsExperience automating, scripting, and streamlining processes for efficiency and accuracyDesired Experience, Skills & TechnologiesExperience with PostgreSQL architecture, database design, administration, and related technologies.Knowledge of Oracle Cloud TechnologyOracle OCP or OCM certification(s)Linux experience as relevant to database O&MKnowledge of multiple data-storage technologies
