Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and proficient in handling various aspects of accounting, including accounts payable and receivable.Responsibilities:- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.- Prepare and review journal entries to ensure proper recording of financial data.- Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify and balance accounts.- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are correctly categorized.- Analyze financial statements and reports to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes to meet reporting deadlines.- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
