Please contact Kent Dickerson, Dean of Allied Health and Nursing at 252-940-6205 for further details regarding scheduling, hours, mentoring support, and other position details.Location Washington, NC Type of Position Faculty Full-Time/Part-Time Part Time Terms of Employment Contracted Term Minimum QualificationsBSN from a regionally accredited institution plus two years of clinical nursing experience required.Medical-Surgical and/or long-term care experience.Must be willing to meet the NCBON Rules regarding Part-Time Nursing Faculty:Prior to or within the first three years of employment, have education in teaching ad learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development, implementation and evaluation, appropriate to faculty assignment. Once completed, this education need not be repeated if the employing organization is changed. This education may be demonstrated by one of the following:(A) completion of 45 contact hours of Board-approved continuing education courses;(B) completion of a certificate program in nursing education;nine semester hours of graduate course work in adult learning and learning principles;(D) national certification in nursing education;(E) documentation of completion of structured, individualized development activities of at least 45 contact hours approve by the Board.
