Seasonal Night Lab Technician

Description The Seasonal Night Lab Technician role is responsible for collecting and testing cherry samples, accurately recording all quality data, and supporting production operations as needed. This position requires attention to detail, consistency in data logging, and the ability to follow training and procedures in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:Collect cherry samples from designated bins and production areasPrepare samples for testing by cutting and handling product according to procedurePerform water activity testing following established training and guidelinesAccurately record results in lab logs, spreadsheets & bin tagsEnsure all data is complete, legible, and entered in a timely mannerMaintain cleanliness and organization of lab workspace and toolsCommunicate any irregular results or product concerns to supervisorsAssist Production Team and complete Scraper role operations as neededFollow all safety, food safety, and quality standards RequirementsHigh attention to detail and accuracy in data recordingAbility to follow instructions and complete tasks independently after trainingBasic computer skills (data entry into spreadsheets)Ability to work in a fast-paced production environmentStrong reliability and attendance, especially for night shift workAbility to handle repetitive tasks and work with food productsAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to lift, move, and handle product/bins as neededManual dexterity to cut and prepare samples Preferred (Not Required):Previous lab, QA, or food production experienceFamiliarity with data logging or quality testing procedures Additional Information: This is a seasonal position supporting peak cherry processing operations. Training will be provided for water activity testing & documentation procedures. SHIFT AVAILABLE: Night Shift Hours: May vary according to production schedules. General work hours will range from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Monday - Sunday. Days and hours may vary, up to 6 days per week. Working over-time may be required from time to time.
