Job #: 205155 Title: Production Assistant Location: Utica, NY Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 DOE Position: Production Coordinator Description: Production Assistant - Utica, NYMonday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm position. May have times that need to be here later and possibly a Saturday if needed. The salary range would be $50-70K.MUST HAVE MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE We are seeking a highly organized and dependable support person to help drive efficiency across our manufacturing processes. Reporting directly to the Director of Production, you will be a key link between upper management and our production teams. Your mission is to ensure we meet customer requirements with precision, maintaining a sustainable, high-quality production flow while mentoring the next generation of talent. Core ObjectivesOptimize Workflow: Partner with all levels of management to drive lean, productive manufacturing processes that consistently meet or exceed customer specifications. Strategic Collaboration: Partner with all levels of management to define and execute objectives that enhance production flow without compromising quality. Team Development: Partner with all levels of management to build a sustainable production team by leading personnel training, performance monitoring, and objective evaluations. Agile Support: Serve as a "hands-on" leader, ready to facilitate and troubleshoot any aspect of production to ensure zero downtime. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership Support: Act as the primary operational partner to the Director of Production and provide dedicated support to Program Managers on all personnel and production issues. Skill Advancement: Assess and elevate the technical and leadership skill sets of both Program Managers and shop floor personnel. Data-Driven Oversight: Monitor daily and long-term production metrics; identify bottlenecks and propose proactive solutions. Goal Implementation: Coordinate ambitious output targets with Program Managers, tracking results and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Cross-Functional Liaison: Work closely with non-production departments (Purchasing, Inventory, Engineering, QA, IT, etc.) to ensure a seamless "customer-first" output. Policy Enforcement: Maintain a safe and professional work environment by enforcing company rules and managing disciplinary actions both fairly and consistently. Candidate RequirementsCommunication: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills. Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in MS Excel, professional email correspondence, and experience using MRP/ERP systems. Interpersonal Strength: Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative partner. You must be comfortable navigating a high-pressure environment with strong, diverse personalities. Reliability: A proven track record of impeccable punctuality and time management. Physical Demands: Comfort working in a dynamic environment that requires both stationary administrative work and active movement across the production floor for extended periods. This position is fully in house, with no opportunity for remote work. Problem Solver: A natural ability to think on your feet and resolve complex operational challenges.
