Junior Trade Support Specialist

We are seeking a motivated professional with 1–4 years of experience in financial services or investment banking to join the Equity Trade Support Group (TSG). This team plays a critical role in supporting cash equity trading activity, maintaining operational controls, reconciling positions, and ensuring seamless coordination across Sales, Trading, Controllers, Settlements, Client Service, IT, Compliance, and Operations.Trade Support & Reconciliation:Reconcile daily trading positions across products and accountsPerform reconciliations between Risk systems (RV) and the firm’s books and records (TAPS)Manage Wash/Omni account reconciliationsReview daily exception reports, investigate breaks, and process trade amendmentsBook cash equity trades accurately and timelyProcess end-of-day trades and complete end-of-day reconciliationsOperational Control & Settlements:Monitor corporate actions, expirations, settlements, and market events impacting trading activityManage back-office settlement processes and operational controlsIdentify risk areas, escalate issues, and ensure proper controls are maintainedSupport a guardianship-focused risk management environmentProcess Improvement & Reporting:Support automation initiatives, workflow enhancements, and new business implementationsAssist with capacity planning and strengthening the control frameworkPrepare management reporting, metrics, and operational dashboards for senior leadershipRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree required (any discipline)1–4 years of experience in financial services, investment banking, or relevant operational support roleStrong Excel skills with ability to perform advanced analysis and reconciliationsUnderstanding of equity products and trade lifecycle events preferredPrior trade support experience highly beneficialMBA or graduate degree is a plusPreferred BackgroundsKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced trading floor environmentHigh level of professionalism under pressureStrong organizational and prioritization skillsTeam-oriented mindset with willingness to support peersAbility to identify process improvements and adapt to changeStrong client service orientation
