These roles are ideal for individuals passionate about conservation, outdoor recreation, and hospitality. You’ll play a vital role in preserving and sharing the natural beauty of this iconic region. Campground Openings We currently have openings at High Sierra, Hosts, Dinkey Creek, Dorabelle, Huntington Lake Area. Each location offers a distinct work environment: Site counts range from 10 to 130 per campground. Amenities vary: some sites include hookups for water, electricity, or sewer, while others provide a rustic, off-grid experience. Responsibilities differ by location, offering a diverse and dynamic work experience. Work Schedule & Compensation Expected weekly hours: 40 hours per week during peak season, reduced to 25 hours per week in the off-season, with possible adjustments based on business and staffing needs. Summary: The Cashier is responsible for efficiently and accurately handling accounting and recordkeeping transactions, thus ensuring the integrity of campground financial records. The Cashier will work closely with the Operations Manager and perform various cash handling and accounting duties. Responsibilities: Receives and processes cash payments from customers, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Counts and reconciles fees collected, ensuring proper documentation and recording. Prepares and submits deposits, following established procedures and maintaining a secure handling of funds. Creates and sends invoices for services rendered, maintaining accurate records. Records sales transactions accurately and updates the accounts receivable system. Conducts cash transactions, providing correct change and receipts to customers. Endorses checks and enters transactions into the cash register or cash receipt journal/log. Monitors cash receipting functions, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues. Retrieves and counts cash receipts from the business day, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures. Stores cash securely until deposited and maintains confidentiality of financial information. Processes various transactions such as refunds, voids, and cash drawer reconciliations. Submits accounting information through designated systems, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation. Collaborates with the Operations Managers to address any cash handling or accounting concerns. Performs all other related duties as assigned. Requirements: Previous cash handling experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and excellent math aptitude for accurate cash counting and recording. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask effectively. Exceptional customer relations skills, both written and oral, for clear communication with customers and colleagues. Ability to work independently and make independent decisions when necessary. Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. High level of integrity, responsibility, and confidentiality when handling financial transactions. Proficiency in using cash registers, accounting systems, and other relevant software. Planning, organization, and problem-solving skills. RV/trailer/rig or manufactured converted van required.
