Caring for them, encouraging them, comforting them and always providing the compassionate support they need and the dignity they deserve.At Faith Hospice, we utilize highly skilled nurses, medical social workers, chaplains, home health aides and volunteers to serve our patients, from medical and emotional care to pain management and bereavement counseling.ResponsibilitiesAssesses patient conditions and comfort, communicating changes to physicians, family, and caregiversImplements and revises individualized care plans, managing discomfort and providing symptom reliefAdministers medication, performs treatments, and coordinates with the Interdisciplinary Group for care planningDelivers specialized hospice training to staff, family, and caregivers for optimal patient careEducates patients and families on disease processes and provides emotional supportMaintains communication with physicians and other disciplinesBuilds trusting relationships and completes required documentation promptlySchedule3rd shift | 10:30pm - 7:00amSchedule repeats every 2 weeks: Every other Sunday and every ThursdayEligible for pick-up pay, if you choose to pick up extra shiftsan additional $4/hour if you pick up on a weekdayan additional $6/hour if you pick up on a weekendan additional $8/hour if you pick up on a holiday Skills to be SuccessfulFlexibility, resilience, and adaptabilitySelf-directed and autonomousStrong prioritization skillsOrganizedComfort with navigating various technologies and computer applicationsCollaborative team player mindset Education and ExperienceRN licensure in MichiganAt least 2 years of med/surg, acute care, or skilled nursing experienceHospice and/or hospital experience preferredPassion for hospice nursing
